RIP - Willie Seaberry "Po Monkey"

The Delta Blues Museum is saddened by the loss of Willie Seaberry "Po Monkey". Born in 1941, Willie worked as a farmhand and was the proprietor of Po' Monkeys juke joint. Originally started in 1963, Po' Monkeys was setup in his home and open to the public one night a week. In 2009 Willie was honored with a Mississippi Blues Trail Marker for Po' Monkeys, one of the last remaining original juke joints in Mississippi. Read More
