Celebrating the Women of the Blues!

Legendary Blues Women

In honor of National Women's History Month, we're
highlighting the women who helped shape the Blues
into America's music.

Our Gift Shop has items by and about pioneering female Blues artists, including CDs by Big Mama Thornton, Koko Taylor, and Ruthie Foster. Our card sets, "More Legends of the Blues," features Bessie Smith; the "Heroes of the Blues" card set includes Memphis Minnie. Our exclusive CD anthology, "Delta Blues", features a rare track by Geeshie Wiley, called "the rural South's greatest female blues singer and musician." And Panny Mayfield's photographs of musicians in and around Clarksdale in "Live from the Delta" are a vivid record of the Blues scene at the Crossroads.

Check out these and other items in our Gift Shop!
