All John Lee Hooker Items Specially Priced for August

John Lee Hooker (b. Aug 22, 1912) was raised in a Delta home where only spirituals were allowed to be sung and played. But his stepfather, Willam Moore, who taught young John Lee to play guitar, was a blues musician. The result of this diverse background can be heard in Hooker’s boogie-rhythm blues delivered with gospel fervor.

This month, our Gift Shop offers souvenirs of the “Boogie Man’s” musical legacy. A new “Boom Boom Boom Boom” poster, Hooker tees (available in two styles), a curated selection of CDs, a colorful biography, and a replica sign of John Lee Hooker Lane - the official address of the Delta Blues Museum - are all available in-person or online.

All John Lee Hooker merchandise is specially priced throughout August in our Gift Shop
