DELTA BLUES MUSEUM REMINDER

Thursday, April 7 Opening Reception, 5-7 PM

Mississippi: State of Blues, on exhibit in the DBM Gallery. From the new book with photographs by Ken Murphy and text by Scott Barretta. Come and meet Ken and Scott, and enjoy refreshments from Gold Strike Casino and Resort, Tunica.

Wednesday April 13 Acoustic Africa: From Mali to Mississippi 5-7 PM Welcoming Reception
Come by the Museum and welcome this touring group to Clarksdale. The band includes Habib Koit, the Mailian superstar, and Afei Bocoum, a guitarist, singer, and composer from Mali. They will be performing on Thursday April 14, 7 PM, at Coahoma Community College. The performance is free.

Friday April 15 Juke Joint Festival
4 PM David "Honeyboy" Edwards, a conversation, DBM classroom
5 PM Delta Blues Museum Band performs for Care Station Fundraiser, DBM Stage
