Help Mississippi's First Music Museum
Match Funds
by OCTOBER 31st!
October 24, 2017
CLARKSDALE, MISSISSIPPI

Future exhibit hall at Delta Blues Museum--made possible, in part, by YOU.
Dear Friends
of Delta Blues Museum,
Coming to you with
an important request.
The Delta Blues
Museum has been approved for a $30,000 grant that must be
matched dollar-for-dollar by October 31 in order to receive
the grant money. Would you or your business please consider
giving a tax-deductible donation to help us reach this goal?
Every
dollar counts.
Due to recent cuts
in arts funding, the Museums is not allowed an extension
on this grant. Therefore, this is a "use it or lose
it" situation at a critical point in our exhibit expansion:
If each of our Museum friends were to donate just $25,
the grant and matched funds would allow us to begin fabrication
on new exhibit designs, to be ready for installation in
time for our 40th anniversary in 2019.
Please
donate today.
Call the Museum at
662-627-6820 to make your donation over the phone, or mail
a check to the Delta Blues Foundation, P.O. Box 459, Clarksdale,
Mississippi 38614. For online donations, feel free to use
this secure PayPal link:

Your help is
much needed and much appreciated, as time is truly of the
essence.
Thanks for helping
us keep the beat!

About
the Delta Blues Museum
Established in 1979 by the Carnegie Public Library
Board of Trustees and re-organized as a stand-alone museum
in 1999, the Delta Blues Museum is Mississippi's oldest
music museum and the nation's first museum dedicated to
the American art form known as the Blues. A 2013
recipient of the IMLS National Medal for Museum and Library
Services--the nation's highest honor for museum and library
service to the community--and a 2014 winner of the National
Arts & Humanities Youth Program Award, the Delta Blues Museum
is dedicated to creating a welcoming place where visitors
find meaning, value and perspective by exploring the history
and heritage of the unique American musical art form, the
Blues. The Museum is honored to be a Great River Road Interpretive
Center.
For more information on events or programs, please call (662) 627-6820, or visit the Museum web site at www.deltabluesmuseum.org.

and the General Fund (a monetarily unrestricted contribution
made to the foundation in support of the museum). Memberships
and the Buy a Brick program are funded directly to the Delta
